Life on the track
Adelle is a track and field middle distance runner, who formerly competed for Great Britain and now represents Jamaica. She has been competing on the international stage for over 10 years.
Adelle's international debut was at the European Youth Olympics in 2009, where she won a Silver medal at 16 years old. Since then, she competed internationally at a senior level at two European Athletics Championships in Amsterdam 2016 and Berlin 2018, at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Portland 2016, at two World Athletics Championships in London 2017 and Oregon 2022, World University Games in Taipei 2017, the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast 2018 and at the European Indoor Athletics Championships in Glasgow 2019.
Adelle became eligible to represent Jamaica in March 2022. She is proud have the opportunity to represent the other side of her heritage and the country where she grew up. During Adelle's first season representing Jamaica, she became a World Semi-Finalist over 1500m & 800m. Adelle also won her first continental medals at the North America, Central América and Caribbean Championships (NACAC) running to a sliver in the 1500m & Bronze in the 800m.
Throughout competing as a senior athlete on the international stage, Adelle has balanced her life off the track working as a Hair & Makeup artist.

In the summer of 2012 Adelle received the honour of being a small part of history at the London Olympic games.
Adelle was nominated by double olympic medalist, Dame Kelly Holmes to light the Olympic Cauldron with six other young athletes and one young volunteer.
The Olympic heroes passing the torch to the young athletes, was Danny Boyle's representation of inspiring the next generation.
Adelle continues to chase her dream of becoming an Olympian herself.

Sport has so much to offer, I’d love all woman to have the opportunity to enhance their life with sport. There is so much power in lifting each other up and continuing to create spaces for woman & girls to flourish.

Adelle is also an ambassador for the British Dyslexia Association and she is Dementia Uk's first ever challenge event ambassador. These are two causes very close to her heart.
