Nike coupled up with Beautystack for the launch of their new Air max Verona shoe which was specifically designed with females in mind. I was lucky enough to join four influential woman from the beauty industry,the founder of Beautystack & WAH nails Sharmadean Reid, Stylist & Note to self podcast founder Alizé Demange , Nail artists and Co-founders of Nuka Nails Anouska Kadimah and Kaddy from the West.
We discuss how to navigate the creative industry as a self employed person, our personal journey's and where we draw our inspiration from. Things we shared in common were where we drew inspiration from to create authentic idea's, we all agreed inspiration came from a range of different resources from Nightlife to Artwork, Interiors, magazines and completely unrelated industries like engineering or architecture.
We also found commonality in our struggles to becoming self employed artists. Discussing how to manage finances, build a business and generate work as a self made individual. It was comforting to hear how successful all these woman had been despite having similar struggles in getting started in their respective fields of the creative industry.
